• CB Marlin Jackson will not be a Raven in 2010, he signed a one-year deal with the Eagles.
• There are rumors that the Miami Dolphins are looking at unrestricted free agent Derek Mason. Full Story
• Ravens use first-round tenders on three restricted free agents: Jared Gaither, starting left tackle; Le’Ron McClain, starting fullback; and Fabian Washington, starting cornerback. Additionally, they are expected to place a first-round tender on wide receiver Mark Clayton. The Ravens second-round tender offers went out to punter Sam Kock and starting safety Dawan Landry. Third-round tenders were awarded to Chris Chester and John Beck. A fifth and sixth-round tender was given to offensive linemen Tony Moll and linebacker Prescott Burgess respectively. A “low” or no compensation offer was extended to kicker Billy Cundiff. Where is the tender offer to starting guard Marshall Yanda? I hope it’s coming before free agency begins Friday morning at 12:01 AM. Remember, that the Ravens were one of the “final eight” teams, which makes it hard for them to sign un-restricted free agents this offseason. We need to tender as many of our quality RFA’s as possible.
• Antonio Bryant signed a four-year deal with the Cincinnati Bengals. Bryant’s contact is worth $28 million, a source told ESPN’s John Clayton. With incentives, he could make as much as $29 million. This is roughly the same money Pro Bowl wideout Anquan Boldin got from the Ravens. Full Story
• The Browns released quarterback and former Pro Bowler Derek Anderson on Tuesday. The move comes one day after the team traded for quarterback Seneca Wallace. Anderson went on record to rip the Cleveland fans. Full Story
• Chiefs sign Thomas Jones to a two-year deal worth $5 million. Jones, who is 31-years-old, will back up Jamaal Charles.
• Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has hired Ed Garlan, a high-profile Atlanta defense attorney, as police investigate a Georgia woman’s claim he sexually assaulted her. Full Story
• Defensive end Julius Peppers is a Chicago Bear. Peppers signed a six-year deal that could be worth $40 million over the first three years. Full Story
• The Chicago Bears also sign running back Chester Taylor to a four-year $12.5 million dollar deal.
• The Detroit Lions sign WR Nate Burleson and defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch. Vanden Bosch agreed to a four-year $26 million dollar deal.
• Brandon Marshall told reports that he may have “escalated” a conflict with the man on trial for killing teammate Darrent Williams early on new year’s day 2007. Full Story
